Breakfast Mary

Servings: 4 (1 cup ea.) • Prep time: 5 min. • Cooking time: None • Very Easy

As Andrew always mentions, tomatoes are very high in Lycopene, especially when they are cooked and used as sauce or juice. He often orders Tomato juice saying how wonderfully healthy it is. That is how the idea of the Breakfast Mary formed. We like to add a bunch of garnishes for dipping so feel free to add whatever you like best! Turkey bacon can be fun and make it even more like breakfast! We also love these as a refreshing mid-morning snack!

½ tbsp. Dijon mustard
¼ tsp. horseradish
1 tsp. Tabasco
½ anchovy (optional)
½ fennel seeds
1½ tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ lime, juiced
1 qt. tomato juice (organic if possible)

Our preferred garnishes:
Celery stick, cherry tomatoes, cocktail onions, large capers, green olives, cornichons (mini gherkins) and shrimp tails!

1. Mix in a blender or mini Cuisinart: Mustard, horseradish, Tabasco, anchovy, fennel seeds, Worcestershire sauce, and the juice of ½ lime.

2. In a large pitcher, add blended ingredients to the tomato juice and mix well.

3. Serve in a lovely Mason jar and garnish according to your taste! Have fun with it!
